It looks like paradise, but the northern tropics of Australia in 1980 is a wild place. It's not just the extreme weather, rugged as hell country and dangerous animals. It's the people too.
Seth Kelly grew a lot of dope. He was the nicest bad guy around; his life filled with women, rock’n’roll, reef diving, beach parties and ice-cold beers. A tropical outlaw with a reputation as big as his smile – Seth had it made.
Now back in town after a few years, he finds the old mates and old ways are getting pushed aside by new players - crims from Sydney, Mafia crews from out west and the most corrupt police force in the country.
When a teenage runaway, a marijuana king-pin and a wealthy guru enter his life, Seth begins to realise that everything he thought he knew - is way out of date.
All he really wants is to make that big score and rekindle the best relationship of his life. And keep the darkest moment in his past out of his head.
He’s a tough bastard, but the kung-fu kicks, automatic shotguns, vulnerable young women and freaky spiritualism are starting to get to him. Trouble is, the person who has really got him running - is Seth himself.
